Research Roadshow: Making Sense of Metacognition

16:00–18:00 on 9 July 2018

We are pleased to announce that our final Research Roadshow event of the year will be held at St Francis Catholic School and focus on the evidence around Metacognition and Self-Regulation. It will take place on Monday 9th July from 4-6 pm.

Sign up for the Research Roadshow here.

In this workshop we will explore the practical evidence-based recommendations from the EEF Metacognition and Self-regulated Learning guidance report.

We are delighted to have Alex Quigley, the co-author of the EEF Metacognition and Self-regulated Learning guidance report, to share how the evidence shaped the report and how you can use it in your own context.

You will also hear about the work of the Research School and how you can get involved. We are keen to engage with practitioners in all phases, with the aim of supporting schools to make better use of evidence to inform their teaching and learning so that they really make a difference in the classroom. In addition, we want to seek out the best examples of evidence based practice across the city so we can share it through the Research School.
